Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description: Plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction projects from start to finish; Monitor the project and make daily decisions about construction activities, meet deadlines and respond to emergencies; Oversee specific phases of projects; Supervise the execution of contracts related to such projects; Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables; proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project or Primavera P6; Select appraopriate construction methods and strategies; Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to workers and other professionals; able to read and understand blueprints and explain to other workers; preferably being able to work with software such as AutoCAD and other similar design software; Report on work progress and budget matters to clients; collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists; Instruct and supervise construction personnel and activities on site; Respond to work delays and other issues and emergencies; Select, hire, and instruct laborers and subcontractors for each project managed; Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations; Establish authority on job site as the point of contact for on-site issues; Coordinate all subcontractor arrival, preparation and project execution; Ensure all necessary daily reports are written and submitted every day; Respond to government issues and notifications within a reasonable timeframe; Develop on site relationship with Safety Manager and QA on the government side; Nurture rapport with customers, but maintain reputation for being tough on schedule, reasonable, and fair; Work with QC to ensure that the proper meetings are conducted, documented, and paperwork submitted. Assist QC to monitor quality of workmanship on site; Coordinate with internal safety manager to ensure that all rules and procedures are being followed, maintain documentation of any accidents or near misses on jobsites; Recognize a need for supplements or change orders and communicate immediately to the estimators.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or related, and/or 48 months of experience. Travel to the following surrounding counties for construction site management visits: Maricopa County, Yavapai County, Pinal County, and Gila County.
